About Us

Pathway to Peppermint is a labor of love derived from necessity. Our journey started in 2015 after our first son was born and started showing signs of skin sensitivities which resulted in outbreaks occurring with use of a large number of store bought products. During this time, I started researching what exactly was in these products and was astonished by how many chemicals were being used on our children. So I decided to start researching natural products only to find a lot of them were not available in my area, were very expensive to obtain or still contained chemicals hidden within the fancy names on the ingredients lists. As a result, I began looking into products that I could make myself using ingredients found within our home to treat basic ailments like dry skin and diaper rash. After starting to use these homemade products, I was amazed at how well they worked and found that they became my go to products. It wasn't long before my love for these simple products expanded into other rooms of our house in the forms of facial scrubs and bath salts in the bathroom, cleaners in the kitchen, and list kept growing. Four years later, we have three very active little boys and the list of products we use throughout our home has grown exponentially all while reducing the number of chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis. In October 2019, after a few years of receiving amazing feedback from friends and family about my products, I officially opened Pathway to Peppermint out of our home in Fenelon Falls, Ontario with a focus on being an eco-friendly business making natural products packaged in environmentally friendly containers.  In the short time we have been open, we have received an overwhelming response from people who love our products and are amazing at how great they can feel using all natural ingredients. 

Pathway to Peppermint produces bath, personal care and cleaning products using all natural ingredients without unnecessary additives or coloring. Our aromas come from dried flowers and leaves and/or 100% therapeutic grade essential oils.  All of our products are produced in small batches with a lot of them made to order, resulting in a fresher product at delivery and less waste. As a small business, we strive to be eco-friendly with a focus on packaging our products in environmentally friendly packaging which can be reused or recycled. We take pride in reducing the amount of plastics as much as possible by using packaging which is made from glass, aluminum or tin. We have also implemented a new container return program which allows our clients to return their gently used Pathway to Peppermint containers to us to be reused in the future. As a result, our clients receive a credit towards a future purchase.

At Pathway to Peppermint, we are very community minded and love to give back. Over the course of the year, we host multiple giveaways as a thank you to our growing client base, to giveback to deserving individuals and to provide an avenue for people who are hesitant to possibly try our products. Throughout the year, we also have multiple opportunities where you as the consumer can help us give back with a number of fundraisers where a portion of your purchases go back to a deserving charity. You will notice a number of these fundraisers are for the ALS Society of Canada which is a cause very near and dear to my heart, however, this is not the only cause that we contribute to.
